New features
Create SharePoint site
Jan 27 · v2.73.0
A new automation and workflow block that creates a SharePoint site directly from monday.com. Useful for teams that provision a new SharePoint site per project, client, or department — the site can now be created automatically when a board item reaches a specified state.
Outlook Calendar — create and delete calendar events
Jan 27 · v2.73.0
Three new blocks for managing Outlook Calendar events from monday.com automations and workflows:
Create event in personal calendar — adds an event to the automation owner's Outlook calendar based on board data
Create event in group calendar — adds an event to a shared group calendar
Delete calendar events for item — removes calendar events previously created for a board item, keeping calendars in sync when plans change
Updated onboarding flow
Jan 31 · v2.74.0
A new "Getting started with Microsoft 365" onboarding screen guides new users through the connection process step by step. The flow has been redesigned for clarity, with separate screens for user authentication and admin consent.
Standalone Microsoft 365 admin consent screen
Jan 31 · v2.74.0
Admin consent can now be granted from a dedicated standalone screen at adminconsent.m365.app — designed for Microsoft 365 administrators who may not have a monday.com user account. Previously, admins needed a monday.com account to complete the consent step. This removes that requirement and simplifies enterprise rollouts where the M365 admin and the monday.com account owner are different people.
Updates & fixes
Import from Excel — timezone and date-only improvements
Jan 27 · v2.73.0
Two improvements to the Import board data from Excel block:
- Date/time cells are now imported in the automation owner's own specified timezone, rather than UTC — dates should appear correctly without manual offset.
- Cells where only a date is displayed (no time component) now populate a date column in monday.com with the date only, without an unwanted time value.
Import Outlook emails — custom activity creation fixed
Jan 27 · v2.73.0
The Import Outlook emails into activities block had a bug causing failures when creating custom activity types. Fixed.
Sidekick AI — updated Office document text extraction
Jan 12 · v2.71.0
Updated dependencies for extracting text from Word documents and Excel spreadsheets used by Sidekick AI skills. Improves compatibility with the latest Office file formats.
Safari caching fix
Jan 12 · v2.71.0
Resolved a Safari-specific caching problem that was causing stale data to appear in certain automation configuration screens.
Improved caching and error logging
Jan 12–13 · v2.71.0–v2.72.0
- Improved caching of secure storage items for better performance across automations.
- Enhanced error logging for automations to make failures easier to diagnose.
