Microsoft 365 SharePoint & Outlook integration — What shipped in September 2026

AI-ready SharePoint file columns, enterprise IP allowlist support, conversation-grouped Outlook emails in the item view, and a run of file upload reliability fixes.
Microsoft 365 SharePoint & Outlook integration — September 2026 updates

A busy month. Two new features — SharePoint files that feed monday.com's AI columns, and support for enterprise IP allowlists — plus conversation grouping in the Outlook Email item view and a long run of upload and retry reliability fixes.

2 new features · 5 updates & fixes · 14 releases (v2.135–v2.148)

Enterprise monday.com account with an IP restriction? As of v2.144.0, automation blocks are disabled automatically when the restriction is detected, and the account owner is notified. Add the app to your network allowlist to avoid this.

New features

Add SharePoint files straight into monday.com file columns

September 7 · v2.140.0

Two new automation blocks copy files from SharePoint into monday.com file columns, so AI columns and monday vibe apps can read the contents of those files:

September 8 · v2.141.0 — a duplicate-filename option lets you skip a file that's already in the column, or keep adding it as a separate file. Files sitting at the root of a document library or the configured folder are now found reliably.

Enterprise networking: IP allowlist support

September 15 · v2.146.0

monday.com enterprise plans can restrict access by IP address, and the app now supports that setup. Administrators can add the app to their network allowlist directly.

September 10 · v2.144.0 — account owners are notified when the allowlist entry is needed, and affected automation blocks are disabled until it's in place.

Updates & fixes

Outlook Email item view: grouped conversations

September 9–10 · v2.142.0–v2.143.0

The Outlook Email item view got a round of improvements:

  • Emails are grouped by conversation — open one and see the whole thread
  • Quoted text from earlier messages is hidden inside conversations, so each message shows only what's new
  • Draft emails no longer appear
  • Inline images load for HTML emails up to 25MB
  • Links from emails open safely outside the browser's security sandbox

File sync automation blocks: more reliable uploads

September 2–16 · v2.136.0–v2.147.0

File sync automation blocks saw the most attention this month:

  • Fixed an issue that could cause file uploads to fail, and improved locking to stop one upload automation from creating duplicates (v2.136.0)
  • Uploads that previously failed permanently when SharePoint was briefly busy now wait and retry (v2.139.0)
  • Columns with multiple files of the same name are handled cleanly — duplicates are renamed the standard SharePoint way, with a number in brackets (v2.140.0)
  • Concurrent upload automations no longer collide on the same files; duplicates back off and retry (v2.145.0)
  • Improved retry logic for uploads (v2.146.0)
  • Overlapping automation runs de-duplicate file uploads from columns to SharePoint (v2.147.0)

Retries & reliability across the app

September 2–24 · v2.136.0–v2.148.0

  • Transient errors from monday.com's API are retried with backoff, and automations only fail once retries are exhausted (v2.136.0)
  • Better handling when monday.com's storage service has a short outage (v2.136.0)
  • Import from Excel retries automatically when monday.com is briefly too busy, so every row imports (v2.137.0)
  • Wait-and-retry for transient monday.com API failures (v2.142.0)
  • Backend hardening across automation callbacks, file uploads, and sign-in checks (v2.141.0)
  • Further retry improvements for monday.com and Microsoft 365 API calls (v2.148.0)

Views, Secure Embed & accessibility

September 3–15 · v2.137.0–v2.146.0

  • Fixed an edge case where views could get stuck on a blank screen if data failed to load (v2.137.0)
  • Secure Embed sanitises folder names created in the interface more thoroughly (v2.138.0)
  • Faster OAuth token refresh for views, plus minor OAuth communication improvements (v2.145.0, v2.146.0)
  • Template Placeholders board view: improved accessibility for interactive elements (v2.140.0)
  • Accessibility fix for modals (v2.145.0)

Subscriptions & permissions

September 1–3 · v2.135.0, v2.137.0

  • Clearer messaging and notifications for invalid or missing app subscriptions (v2.135.0)
  • The leeway allowing unlicensed automations to keep running is reduced from 60 days to under 5 days (v2.135.0)
  • Rename folder for item in SharePoint now shows a clear, actionable message when a required permission is missing (v2.137.0)
