Microsoft 365 SharePoint & Outlook integration — October 2026 updates

Fewer releases, bigger changes. The app now runs in every monday.com region, the Outlook Email item view reads shared mailboxes, and two new automation blocks make Outlook conversations and SharePoint folder paths easier to work with. A Node.js security release went out the same week.

4 new features · 5 updates & fixes · 4 releases (v2.149–v2.152)

monday.com account hosted in the EU, Australia or Israel? From October 25, the app runs in your account's region. Existing connections keep working with nothing to do. See multi-region support for what changes for new and existing accounts.

New features

Multi-region support

October 25 · v2.152.0

The app now runs in all four monday.com regions: US, EU, Australia and Israel. Accounts that install the app from October 25 have their data stored only in their own region.

  • Existing Microsoft 365 connections keep working, with no need to sign in again
  • To move a connection to your region, sign out of Microsoft 365 in the app and sign back in
  • The admin consent link points to the right address for your region, and regional admin consent URLs are available
  • Enterprise accounts with an IP restriction should add the IP addresses for their region to the allowlist

Read multi-region support for the full details, including how to move existing data out of the US region.

Shared mailboxes in the Outlook Email item view

October 22 · v2.150.0

The Outlook Email item view can now show a shared mailbox, such as support@yourcompany.com, or a Microsoft 365 Group's mail. Enter the mailbox address in the view's settings.

  • You'll be asked to reconnect Microsoft 365 once to grant the extra permission, and your Microsoft 365 admin may need to approve it
  • If you can't access the mailbox, the view shows your own inbox and tells you so
  • For Group mail, images inside messages aren't shown, and there's no "Open in Outlook" link

Get Outlook Email conversation ID from message ID

October 2 · v2.149.0

A new automation block, Get Outlook Email conversation ID from message ID, looks up the conversation an email belongs to.

In the same release, automation blocks that send an email or work on a single email now output the Email Conversation ID. Use it as input to later automation blocks, or store it in a column. Blocks updated include Send email with Outlook and Import Outlook email message into item's updates.

Copy SharePoint folder using file paths

October 22 · v2.150.0

Copy SharePoint folder using file paths is a simpler alternative to Create folder for item from templated folder in SharePoint. If you already know the source and target folder paths, you don't need to search SharePoint to find them. This helps in large document libraries with many similarly named folders.

The docs page includes a tool that turns a SharePoint folder URL into its folder path, plus a walkthrough video.

Updates & fixes

Outlook Email item view: conversations & attachments

October 2–22 · v2.149.0–v2.150.0

  • Copy an email's attachments into the item's configured SharePoint folder with one button (v2.149.0)
  • Show only the emails in a conversation, using a conversation ID stored in a monday.com column (v2.149.0)
  • When no conversation column is set up yet, the view explains how to add one (v2.150.0)

File sync automation blocks: more reliable copying

October 2–22 · v2.149.0–v2.150.0

  • Reliability improvements for the file sync automation blocks that upload files from columns to SharePoint (v2.149.0)
  • Copying a large number of files from a column to SharePoint at once is faster and much less likely to hit temporary errors (v2.150.0)
  • "Copy files from a column" automations no longer stay "running" until they time out when there are no files to copy (v2.150.0)

Security release: eMudhra certificate compromise

October 23 · v2.151.0

Node.js was updated in response to the eMudhra certificate compromise and the Brotli decoder flaw fixed in the same Node.js security release. The fix was in production on October 23. There's nothing you need to do. Read last week in security for the full timeline.

Retries & monday.com API limits

October 2 · v2.149.0

  • Automations respect monday.com's API complexity budget more closely, retrying when it's used up rather than failing

October 22 · v2.150.0

  • Help links in the app now go straight to the documentation on dsapps.dev, without a redirect

Also live: Service Desk board view

The Service Desk board view shipped in v2.152.0 and has been working since November 4. It turns incoming Outlook email, including shared mailboxes and Microsoft 365 Groups, into monday.com items, and adds every reply to the matching item as an update. More on this in next month's round-up.
