Note: Looker and Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio) are two different products by Google. This app supports Looker only. For Looker Studio, use the Embedded Data Studio app instead.
Prerequisites
- A subscription to Looker (distinct from Looker Studio).
Installation
Install the app from the monday.com marketplace. You may also need to configure Looker to allow external embedding.
Usage
In Looker
You can embed Looks, Explores, or Dashboards.
Embedding a Look:
- Open a saved Look.
- Copy the URL from the browser address bar.
Embedding an Explore:
- Select Explore from Here from a saved Look, or navigate to the Explore page and build your visualization.
- Copy the Explore page URL from the address bar. Alternatively, choose Share from the gear menu (upper right) and copy the Expanded URL to share specific parameters.
Embedding a Dashboard:
- Open a saved dashboard.
- Copy the URL from the address bar.
In monday.com
For Board Views and Dashboard Widgets
- Add the Looker Embedded app in monday.com.
- Paste the URL into the Embed URL field in widget settings.
For Item Views
- Open the Item View sidebar and select Add View.
- Add the Looker Embedded app.
- In Settings, select a column for the URL (this will be consistent across all board items).
- Paste the embed URL into that column.
