Extract data from Word documents

This skill extracts data from Word documents stored in SharePoint and populates column values from the data found.

Prerequisites

  1. Run a Simple folder generation automation to create SharePoint folders for each board item
  2. Add the Secure Embed item view

Sidekick prompt

Read any word documents in the SharePoint folder configured for each item, populate the relevant columns

The skill operates in two stages:

  1. Retrieves document contents from the SharePoint folder configured for each itemRetrieves document contents from SharePoint
  2. Updates relevant board columns with the extracted dataUpdate board columns with the extracted data

Limitations

 

The system currently retrieves only the 5 most recent documents to prevent excessive system load.
